Terms of service
Effective from 20 October 2026.
1. Provider
Services are provided by MB Codearmory, company code 306047013, registered at Šumsko g. 166, LT-02196 Vilnius, Lithuania, contact@trailforensics.com. Trail Forensics is the name of an MB Codearmory service. MB Codearmory is not registered for VAT.
2. Services
- Initial assessment – €99. We assess where the trail leads and whether there is a point where someone can act (an exchange, a token issuer, a payment service). You receive a short written answer and an action plan. The €99 is credited towards the full report.
- Full report – 1% of the traced amount, at least €400 and at most €8,000. Complex cases get a separate offer. The report covers the money trail, each transfer's number, time and exact amount, the method and its limits, and requests to exchanges and token issuers.
- Updates and monitoring – by separate agreement.
You know and confirm the price and scope before work starts.
3. What the result is, what we do not guarantee, and when we refund
What you pay for. The initial assessment is a written answer within two working days: where the trail leads and whether there is a point where someone can act. The full report is the traced money path with evidence, and ready requests to exchanges or token issuers.
Not our failure, and not refunded:
- an exchange, token issuer or the police decided not to act or did not return the money – they decide, not us;
- the money was withdrawn from the exchange or cashed out before you came to us;
- the trail ends where it cannot be followed (for example a mixer or a privacy coin), if we said so in the assessment.
Our failure, and then we refund or reduce the price:
- we cannot start the initial assessment within two working days because information is missing – we refund the €99;
- the full report does not reach the point the assessment named as reachable – the price is only 1% of the amount actually traced and confirmed, without the €400 minimum;
- the report is not delivered by the agreed date – you may withdraw and the amount paid is refunded.
What we do not guarantee. We do not guarantee that money will be returned, and we publish no "recovery rate". Only an exchange, a token issuer or a court can freeze or return funds. The analysis relies on public blockchain data and the information you provide; the report separates what is proven from what is only likely.
4. Your obligations
- Give accurate information, and say when you know something only second-hand.
- Use the report for lawful purposes related to your case: approaching the police, a lawyer, an exchange or a court.
- Do not send us passwords, seed phrases or wallet access – we never ask for them.
5. Payment
The initial assessment is paid when you submit your case on the website; payment is processed by Stripe. Other services are paid in advance against an invoice unless agreed otherwise. The initial assessment fee is credited towards the full report.
Refund. If we cannot start the initial assessment within two working days because information is missing, we refund the €99.
6. Consumer right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of concluding it without giving a reason. If you expressly ask us to start earlier and the service is fully performed within that period, you lose the right of withdrawal. If you withdraw after the service has been partly performed, you pay for the part performed.
7. Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service concerned, except for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and where consumer protection law does not allow such a limit.
8. Confidentiality and data
We keep your case information confidential and use it only to provide the service. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.
9. Intellectual property
You may use the report for your case and pass it to the police, a lawyer, an exchange or a court. The analysis software and methods belong to MB Codearmory.
10. Disputes and governing law
Lithuanian law applies. We first try to resolve disputes by negotiation. Consumers may also turn to the Lithuanian State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (vvtat.lrv.lt).
11. Changes
These terms may be updated. Contracts already concluded remain under the terms in force when they were concluded.
